Burntwood Lake Lodge - Manitoba Canada

The isolated forests of Northern Manitoba are home to some of Canada’s excellent big game hunting.  Burntwood Lake Lodge and area is well known for a successful hunt as well as a quality hunt. 

Black bear, which can exceed 7 feet and weigh in excess of 400 lbs. are taken each year.

At Burntwood Lake Lodge we use very knowledgeable guides, born and raised in the area, having hunted with us the past 14 years.  We hunt in excess of 1000 miles of shoreline on Burntwood Lake, as well as the river systems.  With little hunting pressure and in most cases no pressure at all,  Burntwood Lake offers an excellent opportunity for Trophy Moose & Bear Hunting.

Overflow Outfitters in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan

The Hudson Bay area of western Canada, has produced some of Saskatchewan’s record class Whitetail Deer. Several Boone and Crockett records have been taken in the past few years.

They hunt on 12,000 acres of our privately owned farmland, plus approximately a half million acres of provincial land between the Porcupine Hills and the Pasquia Hills.

Hunting the Yukon with Widrig Outfitters

Located in the Northeastern Yukon along the border of the N.W.T. The Outfiting concession is almost 4000 square miles of completely isolated, rugged, and scenic mountains.

This company is owned and operated by Yukoner, Chris Widrig. Chris has been in the guiding business for 34 years. He received his first guides license from the late outfitter, George Dalziel, in 1973. As with most young guides he started at the bottom, wrangling horses and learning from those with more experience. For many seasons in Northern British Columbia he polished his guiding skills, ran a trap line, cared for horses in the winter, and became a proficient bush pilot with over 4500 hours flying time. In 1986, he purchased his own outfitting concession in a remote corner of the Yukon Territory.

Widrig Outfitters 97 Ltd. provides all equipment, horses, shelter, professional guides, transportation, advice, and all local logistical support to non-resident hunters who want to hunt in our outfitting concession.

Cobblestone Black Bear in Ontario, Canada

If it’s hunting that you’re after, you will find that Cobblestone Lodge have some of the best Black Bear hunting in Northern Ontario.

Cobblestone’s bear management unit consists of 436 sq. kilometers with miles of access roads, some of which have been recently opened to areas that were not accessible in the past. Since 1991 they have limited hunters to 6 per week. This has insured hunters great success. The baits are set 3 to 4 weeks before the hunts begin in order to establish consistent hits. We use a variety of baits, such as beef scraps, bread sweets, grease and a number of different scent attractors.
